Particle Movements

There are 11 different movement patterns that can be selected in constant settings. Each of these create a unique particle movement shape and can be further customized by the rest of the constant settings. The direction and range settings only work with the Fireworks, Cross, and Horizontal Wobble patterns.

Three interesting properties that further alter a particle movement pattern are Speed, Duration and Number Per Second. Patterns tend to get larger as the Speed increases, you can see more of the pattern as the Duration increases, and the pattern is more full as the Number Per Second increases.

  1. Fireworks, the default movement pattern, shoots particles in random directions out from the emitter.
  2. Hourglass moves the particles in a 3-dimensional hour-glass or "8" pattern.
  3. Mandalla moves the particles in a rounded square pattern where the particles move out, and then back in to the center.
  4. Double Circles creates perpendicular circular patterns.
  5. Single Circle creates a single circular movement pattern, that is angled towards you.
  6. Morphing Cube creates a rounded-cube oscillating pattern.
  7. Cross creates a horizontal and vertical cross pattern (can use direction and range).
  8. Horizontal Wobble is similar to the fireworks pattern with a random horizontal oscillation (can use direction and range).
  9. Mask moves the particles to form a diamond-like shape with occasional particles shooting out vertically at high speeds (uses tangent to calculate particle movement).
  10. Spiraling aligns the particles into a circle and turns that circle in place around a center point.
  11. Snaking aligns the particles into a bending line that moves upwards.
