Troubleshooting

Music not playing / no measurement links displayed / nothing is changing on the screen

Make sure you have opened BioExplorer and loaded the SomaticVision.bxd design. Open and play a pre-recorded session (don't open the session's design when prompted).

Trouble Connecting to BioExplorer

• Make sure you have the latest version of BioExplorer (from http://www.cyberevolution.com).
• If there is a connection error you should see an error message in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen. If this is the first error the Show Measurements window will appear explaining the error and what to do about it. Follow the instructions at the top of the Show Measurements window ("File->Show Measurements …").
• Make sure you do not have multiple copies of Particle Editor open.
• Make sure you do not have other BioExplorer server plugins open (such as Inner Tube).
• Close BioExplorer and all Particle Editor windows. Open BioExplorer, load "SomaticVision.bxd" and a sample session, then open Particle Editor.
• If BioExplorer is not outputting data (through playing or recording a session) Particle Editor will not show any display changes.
• If you still can't connect visit http://www.somaticvision.com/bioexplorer/support/.

Display Not Smooth
If you have a 2-screen display make sure that the Particle Editor display is on your primary monitor. You can change which monitor is your primary monitor by going to:

Control Panel -> Appearance and Themes (if you are in category view) -> Display -> Settings. Click the "2" monitor and choose "Use this device as the primary monitor" (or click the "1" monitor and choose this to switch back).

If the display is still not smooth you may need to purchase a new graphics card. I recommend a new nVidia or ATI card. You should pay about $60-$120 for a good graphics card. Also try shutting down other active programs, or restarting your computer.
