Using Alive for macOS with emWave Pro Software (emWave Desktop software)

Normally Alive (for Windows or macOS) connects directly to the emWave sensor. For Alive for macOS (only), you can also connect through the emWave Pro software (emWave Desktop software) for macOS. To run Alive so that it connects to the macOS emWave Pro software go to Applications -> Utilities and ru...

Alive Installer and Uninstaller Command Line Parameters

The Alive uninstall program is named unins000.exe and can be found in the same folder where Alive is installed (by default, its C:\Program Files (x86)\Alive). Both the Alive setup and uninstall programs accept the following command line parameters: /VERYSILENT /SUPPRESSMSGBOXES /LOG /LOG="filen...

Re: Plans for updated games?

There are some games that were designed exclusively for Cygnet, which include the Inner Tube expansion pack, Synchrony, Alpha Theta, Toy Train, and HyperPong Infinity. These games won't be available for Alive. The Inner Tube expansion pack, in particular was a joint project that contains more than j...

Re: Lightstone sensor with M1 mac

Hi, The Lightstone sensor driver was written many years ago by Wild Divine. That sensor's drivers don't work on 64 bit versions of macOS. If you only need HR and HRV you'll get a much higher quality (more accurate) heart rate signal if you purchase an iFeelUSB sensor for $149 from www.somaticvision....

Storing Alive Sessions on a Network Drive

Alive stores all users, sessions and session statistics in your Documents/Alive Sessions folder. If your Documents folder is on a network drive, and the path My Documents/Alive Sessions doesn't exist and can't be created, Alive may fail to launch. You can specify a different session storage location...

Re: HRV Audio feedback

What are you training? For example, if you are training skin conductance, open the Skin Conductance Graphs (under change graphs in any graph training screen). Click Audio Options. You can then choose music. The way this works is that on the main SCL graph you need to manually drag the starting and t...

Re: Can´t launch Alive

Hi Hugo, Have you tried these steps: https://www.somaticvision.com/node/1171 That page covers a few pieces of software that override standard windows components and cause Alive to crash. Make sure you don't have any of these installed on your computer: Cyberlink PowerDVD LenovoDVD InterVideo WinDVD ...

Alive Points & Level Progress Explanation

Hi All, I've been asked to explain more about the Alive points & level system. This is where the coach congratulates you "Great Job! Your stress control level is now ..." You accumulate points as you use Alive. The system is a bit more complicated then this, but generally you get 10 po...

Re: software cross-plattform?

Hi, Unfortunately no, Alive versions don't work for Cygnet. The Cygnet versions are generally much more expensive, so the Alive versions don't work for Cygnet. Also, the distributor is different for neurofeedback vs peripheral biofeedback versions. In the near future, people purchasing the Cygnet ve...
