Re: Sample rates of iFeel and Biosignals HS sensors.

Hi Richard, What you should really do is set up two computers with Alive, then measure a single session where you are being recorded by both sensors, then take a look at what is shown. Above 200 samples per second for BVP doesn't mean much, the blood vessels don't expand/contract fast enough to make...

Re: Sample rates of iFeel and Biosignals HS sensors.

The BioSignals sensor also has 200 samples per second of BVP (heart rate). Perhaps you don't always have a good signal? Or you were just more stressed during that session / those sessions for some reason. Open a secondary graphing screen and choose the BVP Signal Quality Test screen. Take a look at ...

Re: recording microphone audio

If you are using Alive Pioneer and have microphone audio recording on (from the Main Menu -> Control Panels -> Pioneer Control Panel) then recordings will be saved in your Documents/Alive Sessions folder. The Alive Sessions folder is organized by user name, so open the folder with that user's name a...

Re: Monitor setup

Great idea! Thanks for making this suggestion to others!

I also saw your other post on HRV, but feel like I should leave that one for others to respond to, as it sounds like more of a general discussion that should be open to other users, let me know if you were really asking me, and I'll post.

Re: Taking a deeper look at Alive session data

Yes, its' raw SCL. The units are uSiemens, but, and I can't explain why, there doesn't seem to be agreement between various devices about the uSiemens value for a human. I've seen different devices measure a fixed resistor to show the same resistance, but show very different readings on a body.

How to move a session between users

We recently received a question about how to move a session from one Alive user to another. If you record a session with the wrong Alive user name, you can move the recorded session to the correct user. Any points or training time will not be moved (these stay with the user the session was actually ...

Re: Skin conductance "Normal" levels

Only relative changes are of clinical significance. In fact, across devices you will get different "absolute" readings of uSiemens on the same body. Also the value strongly depends on things such as thickness of the skin, ambient humidity, etc. Even with the same person and same device, co...
