Re: How Smooth is Smooth?

Hi Richard, That's right, LF/HF is an absolute value of Smoothness. Remember, though, that you can change the Smoothness difficulty. If you are green all the time, increase it slightly. Don't go all the way to Max, as then you will introduce too much stress into getting into Smoothness. As far as I ...

Re: Questio about new possible devices

The vilistus set that includes biofeedback costs $3,270 (without the $599 Alive Pioneer software). In comparison, the GP8 Amp cost is $500, plus $599 for Alive Pioneer. The GP8 Amp seemed/seems to be our best choice in terms of finding a device we could resell and package with our software that was ...

Re: Questio about new possible devices

Hi, In general it takes a lot of work to adapt to new devices. We are working to adapt our software to a new device that will have heart rate, skin conductance and temperature. Our current selection of devices includes an iFeel Sensor for those just wanting to train with heart rate, its an excellent...

Re: Print detailed review

Hi Matt, Sorry for the very long reply time. The board did not notify me of this topic, and I happened to find it while cleaning things out. Actually, this feature has been added in a recent update (Alive 3.0.1), as best as possible. Printing through the gaming engine Alive is made in is restricted ...

Re: What is the difference between heart rate and avg heart rate

Sorry, I missed this, but the general idea is that we want to eliminate the breathing changes to display an average heart rate not strongly affected by breathing. There are various different average hr calculations that happen in different parts of Alive, between around 8 seconds (where you would st...

Re: Can't hear workshop audio

Hi Gil, It sounds like you need some remote support to help fix your computer to be able to play Alive audio. I need your e-mail address to connect you with our Alive programmers who can help you. You can send me a private message through the forum, or use the Contact Us button at http://www.somatic...

Re: Can't hear workshop audio

Hi Gil, So do I understand correctly that when you press the "male" voice you hear the workshop audio, but when you press the "female" voice you don't? When you first open it should be on the male voice option, do you then click female voice and things don't work? Is it all audio...

Re: Can't hear workshop audio

Hi Gili, It looks like maybe your Alive installation is corrupted. In the screenshot where it shows the current playback time it has a strange set of numbers, which may indicate it can't find the audio file. First of all, just to see if it works you can try clicking the male voice button (also shown...

Re: Taking a deeper look at Alive session data

If you mean the standard breath pacer displayed to the user (when not using a GP8 Amp respiration belt), please see the columns Seconds Per Breath (which shows that speed of the pacer) and Breath Pacer Time Percent (which shows the value of the breath pacer, with 1 being at the top and 0 being at th...

Re: Taking a deeper look at Alive session data

Hi wzhuang, No, there isn't any documentation specifically for the raw data. If you look in the Alive Pioneer user guide you read information about the Alive specific statistics, such as average heart rate, valence, bvp amplitude, etc. (you can open various user guides with the buttons on the bottom...
