Is there a way to HIDE the names in Alive for HIPPA purposes?

Post by Dragonfly »

We need a privacy prompt or a simple checkbox configuration after opening Alive to hide the list of names out there in the open. This should be obvious to developers that a medical software needs a way to remain compliant with HIPPA. Please tell me I am missing something.

Please just use numbers instead of user names, and keep a separate sheet correlating the user names to the numbers. Or if it's sufficient user first names only or initials. Generally I would say that if a user was already watching the computer screen when you chose the names, and you had a hide names button enabled, you would still need such a sheet to figure out what number matched what name, so please anonymize the user names. You can do this now if you want, by changing the name of each user's folder, and then deleting the meta.db file in the Documents/Alive Sessions folder, forcing a recheck of the user name folders.
