Using Half life with IOM sensors

Post by phx_collier »

Does Half life 2 work with the IOM?

Are there other third party games that do work with IOM?

My son is a big gamer and I am looking for more variety.

Thanks

Hi Tim,

Unfortunately Half Life 2 doesn't work with the IOM sensor. Technically it can work, the issue is more that when you have one hand covered in sensors, which you can't move, you just can't play Half Life 2.

In early stages I had configured a single mouse, with many, many buttons, so that I could play one handed, but that is just not realistic, therefore we only offer the Half Life 2 option with the emWave sensor version of Alive. Let me know if you are interested in getting an emWave sensor to use with Alive. You can send me a private message with your e-mail address.

There is Tropical Heat, our new Jet Ski racing game ( http://www.somaticvision.com/TropicalHeatAlive ). We are about to release a major upgrade (probably 2 weeks or so) for this game, that will make it even more appealing to gamers. There will be a new scoreboard, and many new achievements. This game will be VERY hard to beat on Extreme, but much easier, and with better feedback in easy difficulty. The emWave ear clip also makes Tropical Heat nicer to use, as with two hands you can use a gamepad, which improves the whole experience and makes it easier to combine tricks. If you haven't seen Tropical Heat you can also check out the videos online:
