Unblock Dual Drive (required for proper program functionality)

If you allow Windows, Norton, or another firewall to "Block" Dual Drive you will block Dual Drive's ability to send information between various parts of its program and Dual Drive will not work.

If you see a window like either of the following appear you must click "Unblock" or "Always allow connections" to let Dual Drive & Somatic Vision Server work.

Click "Unblock" or "Always allow connections" for:

  • Dual Drive (DualDriveEngine.exe)
  • Somatic Vision Server (SomaticVisionServer.exe)
Click "Unblock"
 
Change the drop down to "Always allow connections"
 

If you already clicked block you need to unblock these programs.

Windows Vista Firewall

  1. Go to Control Panel then click Security Center.
  2. On the left side bar click "Windows Firewall".
  3. On the left side bar click "Allow a program through Windows Firewall".
  4. Make sure "DualDriveEngine" (or Dual Drive) and "SomaticVisionServer" are both checked.

Windows XP Firewall

  1. Go to Control Panel then click Security Center.
  2. Under "Manage security settings for:" Click "Windows Firewall".
  3. Click the "Exceptions" tab.
  4. Make sure "DualDriveEngine" (or Dual Drive) and "SomaticVisionServer" are both checked.

Norton Internet Security

  1. Open Norton Internet Security.
  2. Click Personal Firewall.
  3. Click the "Configure" button.
  4. Click the "Programs" tab.
  5. Choose "Permit All" for "DualDriveEngine" (or Dual Drive) and "SomaticVisionServer"
