Connecting the finger sensors to your fingers
- Find a small golden dot on the top of the finger sensor with the thicker cord. Put that sensor on the middle finger of either of your hands so that the dot is directly above your fingernail.
- Place the other two finger sensors on your index and ring fingers of the same hand. Make sure the finger sensors are all oriented so that the latches are near the top of your finger (fingernail).

Connecting the finger sensors and Lighstone device to your computer
- Attach the thin side of the USB cable to your computer and the thicker side to the end of your Lightstone device (the blue box) that contains a square opening (if you are using Windows XP you will see a notification that the USB device is being installed, if you are using a previous version of Windows you may need to click “Next” to have Windows search for the driver, accept whatever default driver Windows finds).
- Attach the round end of the cable leading to the three finger sensors to the other end of your Lightstone device with the small arrow on the round cable facing upwards (remove the cap on this cable if present). Make sure to insert the cable in the correct orientation to avoid damaging the Lightstone or sensors.
Note: You must connect the Lightstone device to your computer before opening the Particle Editor software.
If you are not getting good readings you either have the finger sensors on upside-down or need to apply moisturizer to your skin.
